PADI Open Water Diver Course

What is the PADI Open Water Diver Course?
The PADI Open Water Diver Course is an entry-level diver certification that is recognized worldwide and qualifies you to dive with another certified diver independent of professional supervision to a maximum depth of 60ft/18M. Minimum age 15 yrs, but for children aged 10 – 14, there is the Junior Open Water Diver course.

We offer flexible scheduling to make the most of your precious time and you don't pay extra for small class sizes, four students is our normal class size. This way, you can be assured of our undivided attention which will soon have you diving like a professional.

The Open Water Diver Course has three sections,

1. Knowledge Development (theory/Classroom),
2. Confined Water (pool) dives
3. Open Water (quarry) dives.                                                                      

What do I have to do?

• Watch the DVD.
• Read five chapters in the Open Water Diver Manual and complete and hand in the five Knowledge Reviews at the end of each chapter.                       (You can complete the Knowledge Development (theory) by studying with the PADI Open Water Diver Manual).
• Complete four quick quizzes and the final exam which confirms that you have understood the chapters in the manual.
• Complete Confined Water (pool) Dives 1,2,3,4 & 5 (usually conducted in two sessions over a weekend).
• Complete a 10-minute tread water/surface float.
• Complete a 200-yard swim.

Complete four Open Water (Quarry) Dives (conducted as two sessions).
